The hinged swing down compartment in my '14 RDX has been popping open, when going over things like sharp bumps, rumble strips, RR tracks, etc. Loud POP sounds like a rock hit the windshield. I've taped it shut, for now.
Went into my dealer at just 855 miles over the standard warranty. Had purchased the supplemental warranty, but they say it's considered ornamental trim, and is not covered by the supplemental. I disagreed, saying it is a storage device, like the glovebox, center console, or even a sedan's trunk. My contract only says the "console" is not covered.
Anyone else had similar experience or advice?
