Never expected this....

I owned Acura TL for 10 years. It was great car. Thats why I decided to purchase new 2013 RDX even that it was so expensive... My wife of course drives it... During winter she decided to use my pickup to work so Acura was sitting in garage for 2 months. I drove it every couple weeks. But still twice battery went dead so I called Roadside assistance and they gave me a jump. Went to a dealer and they said that its is normal.Checked battery, it was fine. They said There is so much electronics and computer that it drains battery all the time... I was little disappointed. So my old pickup can sit in garage for a month and starts with no problem.Winter is over so my wife decided to go back to her car. I drove it a week ago but not far. Battery was dead again. Called Roadside Assistance but this time it starts and shut offs after 2 sec. It really look like computer cuts gas. Really, first dashboard goes black and then engine stops. So I called for towing and they taking car monday to dealer. Im so sad, right before Easter, ruining my holiday. Do you guys have any idea what is going on? 6000 miles only. I did 150000 miles with my TL without any problem... You think its computer?

Probably I will. But now the problem is bigger. Even with the jump car is not running. Just stops after 2 sec. Like I said looks like computer problem. Like gas is cut and car won't run. Thats why I'm pissed....

so you need to jump the car in order to start the car?

sounds like a battery issue. replace it and watch it all go away.

I'd invest in a maintenance charger. I have two of them (Battery Tender) one for the Harley and one for the Mustang. They are left on all winter long.
The Harley battery is 12 years old and still working fine.
A maintenance charger will keep your battery at the optimum state of charge and will also prolong the life of the battery.
