Low Range for SmartKey

I have had my '13 RDX for 7 months now and I just noticed that the range of the remote is extremely low. I have to be really close to my car to unlock it. Is this common on all RDX's or just mine? My mom's 06 Accord can unlock from a lot farther. Anyone else have this problem?

Try your second remote and see it if works better. Batteries aren't that high tech so maybe the battery is weak or something. But if you have a new vehicle and the fobs work at greatly different distances I would ask for a new battery or new fob whichever it is.

Same issue with mine. I just assumed that was normal. If I am more then 3 feet from the car, no go.

Number One rule for battery powered anything...if it's not working right, replace the battery first.
