Slow is a comparative term, but you are not telling us what it is compared to. If it is slow compared to other RDXes with the same 3.5 liter engine, or slow compared to when you first bought it, then it is perhaps not normal. More information is needed.

Most modern cars are slow off the line unless you mash down on the pedal. This is intentional and programmed into the transmission. It's designed to give you optimal gas mileage.
Some cars have "Sport" mode which allows for normal shifting. Or you can try "manual" mode which mimics a manual transmission.
I haven't noticed anything different in my 2017 RDX than from my 2015 Camry, 2013 Sienna, 2010 Camry or any other rental car I've driven over the past 20 years. All tend to hold 1st gear.
Is this "slow" feeling new?

Thanks for all the great responses. I will try to address you inquiries to the best of my ability.
1) I am using premium gas. 93 octane. Often from Costco.
I will tryMobile for a couple of tanks to see if there is a difference.
2) yes, "slow" is a relative term. It seems slow compared to when I purchased back in May 2020.
3) if what dtownfb is correct, then it sound like its runningras per engineering.
I guess my old 2012 VW CC felt a little different. It a little 4 cyclinder.
