Fuel Cap Light

Hi everybody,
My 2013 Acura RDX's fuel cap light keeps coming on and randomly turning off. The first time it happened was when it was sitting in a parking lot. I brought it in to the dealership and turned the ignition off to talk to the service advisor and when he turned the car on there wasn't a fuel light on anymore. Also they plugged the car into a computer and said there were no errors. What should I do? It keeps randomly coming on and off. Does anyone else have this problem or a solution to it?

I am certain there was an article on this very issue (gas cap warning light on with no code) in the Acura Service Bulletins within the last 2 or 3 months. Normally you can get to these via the link in the garage sticky on this forum (you have to follow the instructions carefully). However, the link is not working so I can't give you the reference. Ask your dealer to check his copies or to call Acura technical help. It is a known issue with a fix.

Update - Search on user name Cazio in this forum. He posted a verison of the service bulletin I was referencing to a similar thread. His is for the TL but I beleive the more recent service bulletin applied to other models.

Happened to me just yesterday. Took about 3 times of stopping and unscrewing the cap and clicking back on to get rid of the warning light. Hope it was a one time fluke.

Another occurrence here. 2014 RDX awd w/tech 1700km and happened 3 times now. Going in for service tomorrow so they can take a peek into this problem. Will update after.

Problem fixed. The dealer took my car in and gave me a loaner 14 RDX (<<Really liked it), anyways, they called Acura HQ and ordered some part? They didn't explain it very well but the lights gone and its fixed.
