Climate control

In our 2013 rdx tech package when the climate control is in auto mode and heat required, the warm air only seems to be coming out of the side vents and nothing out of the centre dash vents. When the temp calls for cooling then the cool air is coming from the dash center vents as well as the side vents. In manual mode when you select dash vents the warm air comes out of the center dash vents no prolem but for some reason not when it is in auto mode calling for heat. The car heats up no problem but as I said just doesn't have have warm air coming out of the center vents. Just wondering if this is normal or anyone else has found this?

It's normal... having the heat come from the center top vents does not heat the car effectively. You should also notice the heat coming from the bottom vents (near your feet).

Normal. That's the way other cars with auto climate control work too. AC comes out the dash vents. Heat comes out the floor vents(heat rises) and the side dash vents to keep the side windows from fogging up.
