First road trip with the new RDX (non tech pkg) and the front console 12v power source stopped working. Front location powered the IPhone and then the GPS just fine on our way (550 miles) but when we went to power up a phone using a duel USB type charger on our way home there wasn't any power available at the front socket.
I checked the 15 amp fuse at location 27 under the dash and appears to be good. I'm planning to take a trip to the dealer tomorrow to have them look at it, but if someone can give me an idea what else to check before then it would be appreciated.

Have you tried the 12V outlet inside the arm rest? Also, have you tried something else in the outlet? Maybe the dual USB charger is broken. Sometimes those devices have their own fuses built in.

 

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the outlet inside the arm rest works with both the USB charger and the GPS.

I am going to replace the fuse today just incase I am missing something.

 

The problem was due to a failed accessory relay that was located under the dash. As expected, the dealer replaced the relay under warrantee.
