I just wanted to share this information because I looked for it and couldn't find it.
I just installed 2016 RDX front struts on my 2013 RDX today. They are 100% direct fit. Part #51611-TX4-A12 and 51621-TX4-A12. I also bought the 2016 dust covers because the part# was different, but the old ones are the exact same, so they were not needed. The 2016 Springs are also a different Part#, old springs worked perfect. They would have changed the spring rates and shock valving on the 2016+ RDX's.
2016 struts are cheaper than the 2013-2015 struts and hopefully a better design.
I had a clunk in the LF strut, so I replaced both front struts (143000kms) I replaced the rear shocks with KYB's at 100000kms because of clunking.
I bought them from Schlueter Acura in Kitchener, Ontario. They were $252 Cdn each. They wanted $269 L and $321 R for 2013 struts.
You can get them from one of the online Acura parts sites for $154 US
So how is the ride quality? Is it softer, firmer, does the front end bounce more since the spring rate is different than the 16-18 MY?
Please let me know as soon as possible, THANKS.
