Hello. I am having a transmission problem and want to replace the control solenoid C as that is what my device is saying I’m having problems with. The issue for me however, is that I can’t find a control solenoid for sale. I’ve been looking but I keep either getting shift solenoids or VVT solenoids. Does anyone know where I can find what I need?
Hmm that looks ungreat. Might be caused by a larger underlying problem that made the shift solenoid fail.
The solenoid prob mounted to the side of the transmission casing, I figure?
Step 1. Draine the ATF and check for metal shavings. If there are, replace the automatic transmission.
If the ATF is clean and free of metal shavings, replace the ATF with a new one.
Step 2. Replace the Secondary Valve Body(It would be best to buy a used transmission with low mileage and remove the valve body from it.)
You can of course try to buy a refurbished one from eBay, but I don’t really trust all these refurbished ones. https://www.ebay.com/itm/38942910059...Bk9SR6ahmKWSZw

so you are saying I should replace the transmission solenoids and not the control solenoid?
I ended up swapping out the control solenoid which was located right under the alternator. So far the car runs well and I have yet to have any problems with it in the past few months. I took a 4 hour trip and got my car inspected and everything has seemed fine. Just a warning to those who try this, you have to remove the alternator to properly reach the solenoid.
