Interested in a 2015 RDX AWD

Hello everybody,
I found a 2015 RDX AWD that is clean with only 48,000 miles. It's probably a 95% car. Clean with a few scratches. It runs well and looks good. Is there anything in particular I should look for? I know it will need a timing belt at 100,000, but should it e done now, since it's 10 years old? I previously owned a TSX, which was excellent but the paint faded after about 8 years. The paint on the RDX looks good now but does the paint on these peel or fade after a few years. This car was garaged for the last 8 years, but I don't know how it was treated by the first owner. What's a fair price for this car?

I wouldn't worry about the paint if it's been garaged a lot. The main things I would check are the fluids and parts receiving heavy use like the suspension. I'd assume the price will be higher since it's low mileage, but it will vary depending on your area's market. Look at other vehicles with similiar mileage near you for reference on the price.

I’d expect the timing belt to actually be okay. The real concern is the tensioner. In my experience, the tensioner is what is impacted the most by age, not necessarily mileage. I would do the timing belt now and get a new tensioner installed. At 10 years old, it is past due.

Ditto. The peace of mind is worth it if all those parts are original.

I would definitely get the TB, tensioner and water pump all done - just for peace of mind knowing it’s been done and you have a solid reset of this maintenance item. I would also get all the fluids replaced as well. It’s relatively short money again for peace of mind. My $0.02

Regarding the belt, I agree, the tensioner is the main reason for failures, and in second place is the water pump, which can leak and corrode the belt, causing its teeth to tear off.
