Has anyone painted or thought of painting the bottom part of the RDX bumper in black?

Below is a picture I photoshopped (top is the original; bottom is photoshopped):

I got the idea from current year's MDX and Q5 European model.

If you have done this, please share some of your RDX pictures. I have a RDX in Graphite Metallic Luster, so it might not as noticeable as other lighter colored RDX after the paint.

it would be easy to plastidip it.
plastidip is meant to tear up or rub off.

go ahead and buy a can or 2 of plastidip and try it out

Should be a fairly easy job. I've done my Z in the past and just pealed it off when I got tired of it. Post pics of how it turns out.

OK guys - has anyone done this yet? I'm thinking out hitting the chrome bar across the grill with plasti dip also but leaving the emblem as is.

THREAD REVIVAL.

I will be doing this on weekend and posting pix into this thread..... grab your popcorn!

EDIT: on 2nd thought, there's no point for me to do this.. my front plate blocks that area and being a relatively dark vehicle, probably wouldn't be noticeable??

What would be the point of this? Give the appearance that the car is higher off the ground? I could understand painting the bottom plastic to match the external color, but I'm not sure why someone would want to make the bottom plastic portion appear to be larger than they are.
