You wouldn't wire it to the DRL's persay but in past honda/acura applications where the fogs only went on with headlights you could usually "repin" it from the harness.

Now being 33 going on 34 i dont care But in my 18-27 range i'd change it around lol

Yeah I'm going to research it to see how much work is involved. I would rather run the fogs as DRL than the high beams. Might switch the fogs to LED at that point then.

This is for an OLD honda civic...

but the "aerial scope" of what needs to be done is all there, just an FYI.

Mostly aesthetics.

I want to get a whiter light output from DRL's but don't want to lose the high beams.

DRL's low voltage

Back when I first got my RDX I kept on blowing the high beam bulbs. When I looked into it I found that the DRL voltage was way to low. This was causing the bulbs to brown out and in some cases the bulbs actually exploded. In other cases the bulbs became so brown that the high beams were useless. It took me a year to convince Acura I had a legitimate problem. They changed the DRL module and since then I have had no problems. Since then Acura has gone to fog light DRL's. I suspect they knew of the problem.

That would be the reason to go with fog DRL's possible browning of the high beams.

I would be curious if anyone else has discolored bulbs. Look closely you may see it. If the bulbs are slightly discolored then running the high beams for at least half hour could clean them.
