The only leather in the 2013 RDX is the perforated strip in the center of the
front and back seats?

Hard to tell from the parts diagram. Only the front seat covers are shown as LEA so the console and rear seats do not appear to be leaather. Can't really tell about the bolsters of the front seat. In any event, many cars that have leather seating only have leather where the front passengers touch the seats. My Nissan Titan LE is leather on front of front seats and vinyl elsewhere including rear seat. A few, like Porsche offer an extended leather option that adds leather to the dash, door panels, etc. Leather is an option on many Mercedes - MBTex is standard but it is very, very good vinyl.

"an impressive aura of modern luxury"? Now that's heavy...

 

This is why we decided on the RDX over the RAV4 which had SoftEx

 

Man I miss the old days when leather was durable and lasted for a very very long time....

 

My complaint is that Honda engineers probably spent hundreds of hours to make their leather look and feel exactly like vinyl. Worst leather in a vehicle ever.

 

no the side wings are also leather but not the side that faces the door panel or the back. front of headrest is also leather

 

The front and back seats are all leather. I noticed that the leather has become softer after a year of use and application of Zymol leather conditioner. I am not a big fan of the perforations thought. Dirt or other substances easily get in the hole and it takes wiping with a wet cloth or a pin to clear a hole.
