Which Grommet Is Best?
I'll be installing a grille mounted camera soon and have found two firewall grommets to pass the cable through to the cabin. My question, which one (passenger or driver side) is best (least crowded) for the purpose? Both are equally difficult to reach (top corners of the firewall behind the fender) so that doesn't enter into the equation. Thanks!!

How's it working for you? And why a grill-mount rather than a dash mount?

It worked out fine. Dashcams are generally used to record traffic and for documentation. A grille mounted camera is a nice (elegant?) parking and safety aid used the same way you might use your backup cam.. I really don't like the dangling tennis ball in the garage solution which, until I added the camera, was the only way my bride was sure she was far enough into the garage to close the door. It's a fun and inexpensive little project. Twelve bucks for a camera, $15 for a little monitor and a couple of dollars for an on/off switch.
Next project, get the image to display on the upper center stack screen. Stay tuned.
