When I plug my iphone 5 into the USB port on our 2015 acura RDX after a few minutes or an hour sometimes it will pop up and say there has been an error and the USB device has been disabled. It will then cut the connection and disable the USB adapter completely. We have tried 2 different Iphone 5 phones and different lightening cables. It seems to do it the same with both.

Has anyone else ran into this problem and found the fix for it?

I have not taken it to the dealership yet and it only has 4000 miles on it.

 

I suggest checking whether your phones are set to auto-lock after that time period. Just a thought.
