Turning off voice & startup pic on nav system
Folks -- Just got a new RDX and, despite going thru the manual, can't find an answer to these 2 questions...hoping you can help!
1. When the car starts, we get a drive safe warning on the nav screen, along with a request to choose a language. How do we get rid of this sign, and can we get the nav, audio controls or wallpaper pic to show up instead when the RDX is started?
2. Occasionally, usually when switching among audio options, a female robot voice announced the name of the song being played. Can we turn her off? Any guidance on this score would be appreciated.
Great car! Be even better if we can eliminate these two little items from our to-do list.
Thanks!

i do not believe you can get rid of the "nag" screen unless someone has found a hack to eliminate it. if the navi is like the 4G TL, you should be able to display your own wallpaper once downloaded to the car to be displayed once the nag screen goes away. check under set up or settings.
you should be able to get rid of the guidance voice with audio options. check under the set up menus and you should ba able to turn her off.

MarkinMD...As stated by TLtrigirl, the "default safety" window that forces you to acknowledge the safety precaution can not be disabled, at least not that I know of.
With respect to your second question, in the "audio set up" section, there is an option to turn the volume of the annoying robotic lady....If you can't find it, I can go in my RDX and get the step by step instructions...I don't exactly recall them but its easily done.
Keep us posted and congrats on your new RDX BTW...color? AWD? Pics?

if you change your wallpaper setting to "none" - your screen will automatically turn off after the drive safe warning (without pushing o.k.)
if you set a wallpaper then your screen will automatically bring up your wallpaper after the drive safe warning (without pushing o.k.)
