Hello everyone, i just purchased a 2013 rdx base model, everytime i start the car my A/C automatically goes on with the high speed fan and i have to turn it off manually.
is there a setting that we can change not to turn on the A/C whenever I start the engine?

I may be misunderstanding your question, but unless there is something going on with your RDX, it should only be starting the AC or anything related to the ventilation system based on however you left it when you last turned it off. Are you turning the ventilation system off before you turn it off? Should be similar to the radio/audio system - if you turn it off before shutting your RDX down, it shouldn't be on when you start your RDX.
Another thought I just had and would need to research this myself is that each fob can be programmed with individual settings (seat position, mirrors, radio stations) but not sure if ventilation system setting are part of that or not. Could be prior owner had it set up / programmed to the fob you are using that the AC automatically started with high speed fan. Again not positive on these settings as we don't have them set/programmed on our 2016 Advance.
If you got two fobs with your purchase, maybe try using the 2nd or other fob and see if you get the same results. Also the obvious test is to ensure everything is turned off before shutting your RDX down and see what happens when you restart it.

 

Press the climate control "Off" button before turning the engine off. Next time you start the car, climate control will be off.

 

The auto HVAC systems in these cars should never start at full fan speed. They are set up to come on with the fan at low speed and ramp up once the compressor is able to provide cold air.
This is so you do not get that blast of stinky wet air a manual system will produce. You should able to just set the temp you want and forget it. It is not control freak friendly. If you are used to
a manual system, this will be a learning experience. Or a frustrating one.

Whenever you make an adjustment in anything but the temp, it will go into semi-auto. To get back to fully auto, press the auto button.

 

So i tried the driver 2 remote and still doing the same thing.
i turn off the a/c then turn off the engine, when i turn the engine back on a/c goes on automatically, exactly like “edag” said starts with fan speed 1 and goes to max in like 5 seconds.
but after you menttioning it seems to be normal.
I guess i just need to deal with it, whenever i press the push button start press the a/c off right after 😅.

Something isn't right. If you are turning off the climate control/ventilation system before you turn off your RDX - it should not be starting on it's own when you restart your RDX. It should work the same way the radio does. If you turn the radio off before you turn off your RDX - the radio should not be on when you restart your RDX.

 

Don't turn off the A/C. Turn off the entire Climate Control.
