iPhone issue

Just purchased my 17 RDX (base). After pairing my iPhone, I noticed that when anyone in my phonebook calls, what shows on the screen is "unknown" & their phone #. The name of the caller does not appear. I went back to the dealer to try to get this resolved. They were unable to fix the issue. They told me that they would have to contact Acura to get a solution. Anyone have a clue why the name of the caller does not show on the screen????

Have you synced your phone book? Try unpairing the phone and start all over. Also make sure the "Sync contacts" option is set on your iPhone in the Bluetooth settings specific to the RDX

Yes, everything was synced. All contacts appear from the phonebook. The name of the caller does not show when a call comes in. The dealer was unable to correct this. They have to call a tech person at Acura to find out why their is a conflict. Now I'm in a holding pattern waiting to find out what the dealer hears from Acura.

I went to the owners.acura.com site & called the number posted for issues concerning Bluetooth. The tech person I spoke with was fully aware of what I was experiencing after I informed him that I have a iPhone 6. He stated that there are a few conflicts with the Hands Free Link & the iPhone 6. A fix to get the name tag to show on screen reqiure a +1 to start each phone # in my phonebook. Once I added the +1, names appeared on all incoming calls. This is the fix for the "unknown" that was appearing. What surprises me about all this is that the salesman & service dept did not know about this iPhone 6 issue & how to fix it.

Are you saying you just have to add a "1" to the beginning of each phone number listed, or a plus sign (+) and the number 1?

What surprises me more is that Acura didn't issue a patch for the flaw....

So what happens when you dial a number from your iPhone with the plus sign and number 1 before the phone number?

It dials the number....system seems to ignore the +1. Calling out was never an issue, just the incoming
