In my traded-in 2011 TSX, I could set the system not to record a CD to the HDD when I played it in the ELS Tech Package system.

In my 2014 RDX, I cannot find such a setting. Does it exist? I don't want to record in every CD I bring into the car. Seems pretty stupid if I am forced to record every CD I want to listen to.

Per the Navigation Manual page 155, you have to set to manual recording.

In Disc or HDD mode go to the the Audio Menu>HDD Setup>select CD Recording>select Manual.

Now it wont automatically start recording when you insert a CD.
