My 1 week old 2015 had a database from 2012. The Acura update site lists 2013 as the only option, but it indeed downloaded a Q2 2014 update. A so called "luxury car" should come with up to date software.

And dealers charging over $100 to update the Siri software is a crime!

Yes, you can go online and download the latest Gracenotes for free each quarter. I just did the Q2 2014 last week. I used a thumb drive, and it took about 15 minutes to "verify" the files on the drive, then took a few minutes to do the update. It should be part of the "dealer preparation" routine.
