Back button on 2013 RDX base model

Is this supposed to do anything? The one on the dash works but the one on the steering wheel does nothing.

The one on the wheel should do the exact same thing as the one on the dash.

Remember, it cancels the last action, so simply pressing it won't do anything. Make sure you select something on a menu first before pressing it and it should take you back one level.

I thought so but mine doesn't do anything.....guess I will have to bring it in. The one on the dash works fine.

So after having Acura look at the back button on the steering wheel they tried to convince me that it only works with voice tagging to return to the previous screen. Some how I still don't believe that is the only function of it. Checked the owner's manual and it says the purpose is to cancel an action. So it still doesn't do anything except when you place a call.

Told them I couldn't believe that with a system that reads your voicemail would make you take your hands off the steering wheel to go back to the previous screen.

Not sure what to do next.

Dealership is killing me. They are still telling me the 2 buttons function differently. Ironically enough the loaner car I have the buttons do the same things. I am over this!!!

Maybe you can try taking it to another dealership.

No mine does the same. It only cancels the voice call activation. It does not work the same as the one on the dash.

My cancel button on the steering wheel seems to work just like the cancel button on the dash.

Could this be related to having or not having the Tech Package? I have the Tech Package. How about those for whom the steering wheel button does not work as expected? Do you have the Tech Package?

I have the base version and all mine does is cancel voice activation as well. Since I just use Siri for any voice commands, it's basically a dummy button now.

It looks like the original poster (Sportschicfla) also has the base version, and a few of us who said that the button works as advertised have the Tech package, so perhaps this is related to Tech/NoTech as I suggested.
