2017 Acura RDX Elite, if that makes a difference between Navigation Systems amongst the 2013-2018 models.

After almost four years, no complaints as this is a great vehicle, BUT as I have read here and on YouTube, the Navigation System leaves a lot to be desired. I have posted other threads asking how to upload personal GPS coordinates to the unit. I got my answer back in 2017 (RDX-Rick), placed about 100 waypoints in separate Categories, making them easier to find instead of scrolling through a slew of them in the ALL Category.

Question is, how did I CREATE those Categories and how do I DELETE them? I wish it was as easy as right-click and delete. LOL
And yes, I have been in the Navigation Manual, found the pages and that does not seem to work.

Well it took a while, but I got it figured out. And sure enough I found the Navigation manual to be useless, that or I missed something.



Select Address Book.



Which then opens up this screen. I already deleted all my addresses by accident, thinking Delete (on another screen a few days ago) would delete a Category. Well it deleted all my addresses.



I moved over to the Category I wanted to remove.



This is what threw me, I didn't want to Add New Address, not when I want to Delete a Category. I Selected it to get me to the next screen.



Scroll down to Category and select it.



I selected Florida which I wanted to delete (as well as all the others). I was able to delete a single Category while trying all this out. In the end, I ended up deleting ALL Categories in one shot.



Select Delete.



Select "Select All".



Notice the Trash Can icon next to each Category. I guess at this point I might have been able to Deselect (individual) Categories which I didn't try or do.



Select "OK".



Select "Yes".


You can then add new Categories and rename them as you wish. You'll see the New Category icon in a couple of the screens above.
