I just purchased/leased a 2017 RDX with tech package. I have an LG V10. I cannot get the text messaging feature to work. Everything else is fine but no text message pop-ups at all. Two salespersons at the dealership who were supposedly trained in this package couldn't figure it out. A tech at Acura tech support also couldn't figure it out after an hour on the phone.

By comparison, I also leased a 2016 Toyota Highlander and the text message function works perfectly. So, I know it is an Acura problem.

Has anyone else had this issue?

 

I have the same issue with my Moto X4 not verbally reading text messages. It worked fine with the '14 Rogue I traded in.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

My 2017 AWD RDX tech package wife has a Motto 6 and Acura service said won't work with our car. Any ideas?

 

I know... Old thread. But, same issue here and it's a year later (same model year). Android devices apparently don't work, and the HandsFreeLink web site is so woefully outdated on supported phones it isn't funny.

Is there any answer to this?

 

johnjrval424, sorry you are experiencing trouble with the phone connecting. I wiped all trace from the car and then reloaded and somehow I was able to get my wife's motto 5 and my LG Android and the address book, as well as text messages. Try to remove the information and reload, good luck. George
