2017 Na Update DVDs arrived

The 2017 Nav update packages (2 DVDs and instruction booklet) arrived today. Installation was very simple, but goes NOTHING like the steps in the instruction booklet. For example, the instruction booklet says you will nee the VIN and the radio security code, but neither was required. It DID require about 90 minutes with the engine running.

Good info. Thanks! I’ve got the 2 DVD set sitting here for the 2017 NAV update but have been reluctant to try the update yet from all the horror stories I’ve been reading. Maybe I’ll give it a try tomorrow. PS. This is for a 2016 RDX.

I got my 2017 Nav update DVDs (purple) a few weeks ago and installed on my 2014 RDX. It wasn't that bad - probably took 90-100 min. in total. I just left the DVD in the slot when I turned the car off and when I restarted the car the update would continue. So I didn't install in one session with the engine running. The updated software was installed at the end after the data update.
