2016 RDX Advance tablet pairing issue

I got both of my phones to connect to the system, but tried to connect a tablet and could not get it done. It is an LG tablet(newer 2015 model). Any reason a tablet won't connect to the system vs a phone? Obviously it won't do calls, but it should be able to hook up for audio. My girlfriend wants to play her Kindle off the tablet. For now she is using the aux in jack, but the sound is not great.

I've had issues in the past pairing different devices from other manufactures and having them play nice. I could never get my blackberry and iPhones to pair for more than a few days together without one or the other dropping the pair. Since we have gone 100% apple, I've been able to pair 3 phones and ipad mini to our 11 MDX. I've learned not all bluetooth is created equal in every device and every new device with tons of software updates every few weeks/months can cause pairing issues at anytime. The pairing issue might be fixed on the next software update on your LG or never. Not LG's fault, it is tech in Acura vehicles that is never updated as far as I can tell.

A huge problem I've notice with the iPad is there is a delay in the sound when paired. Not a big deal listening to audio only; but, watching any video on the iPad paired with in car audio speakers is 100% useless because of the delay. Zero issues with this using Aux jack and it sounds better also.

^you are right!

there are tons of different bluetooth protocols.

there must be a "handshake" issue involving two different bluetooth protocols.

That is what strange as both devices are LG. The phone is a G4 and the tablet is also a newer LG product.

Any chance there might be some old pairings still in the system? I had to clear all old pairings and start fresh before the iphones worked without problems.
