Why did Acura make the Canadian and US 2016 RDX different?
It seems that the Canadian versions of the 2016 RDX offer a bit more value than the US counterpart. For example, AWD is standard, there are better colour options, you get powerfolding mirrors in the top trim, etc. Wouldn't it have been easier/more cost effective to make the US and Canadian versions the same?

It's a luxury car. One needs to pay luxury prices to feel they are getting the appropriate level of luxury.
And it would instantly sully the brand if one were able to buy said luxury car for cheaper in the USofA than in our friendly hat neighbor country.
It's all about the Joneses... We cannot simply keep up with them, we must be them.

It's just the way the cookie crumbles - Canadian base models are typically more upgraded than a US base models....but we pay for it because our base model price is higher even after currency conversion.
I personally like the way Canadians consolidated packages because the chance of finding a car on the lot that fits your needs is higher when there are less variants to choose from. Hope that helps.

I feel like I got such a great deal in the Canadian version of the 2016 RDX Elite. It truly does make the ride more thrilling!
The Canadian automotive industry typically consolidates options into logical packages...more so than the US. In some cases, the consolidation of a package is cheaper than buying the individual options, in other cases, it's more expensive because you might be paying for options you don't need.

Historically, Honda and Acura have generally always been a little bit better equipped in Canada, usually in the area of winter options (bigger washer fluid reservoir with sensor, heated side mirrors, heated seats on Accords years before they were available in the US, etc). In addition to RDX, the Canadian TLX is significantly better equipped with a number of options only found on the US RLX while the MDX is equipped to be Acura's flagship in Canada.
And 2WD has been steadily in decline in luxury makes in Canada, everybody wants AWD at the higher price ranges. Mercedes has been very successful with virtually an all AWD sedan lineup.

LOL! If a girl isn't into you, immediately move on and talk to a prettier girl. Friendzone them before they friendzone you, or just don't be friends at all. "Control or be controlled" -- Machiavelli
Driving a nice car and working out helps. It's quite simple really, all girls like M&M's (money & muscle) though many won't admit it. Watch what they do, not what they say, my friend.

I'm quite amazed at all the features you get with the Acura vs the competitors. The value is amazing!

Nope, just from experience. For example, one of my friends kept getting friendzoned by various different girls for the longest time. All of a sudden he got a girlfriend who is prettier than the girls who had rejected him. When the girls who had rejected him found out and saw the girlfriend, they became bitterly jealous and in fact desire him now.
Other dudes that I know of who drive luxury cars, have to beat girls off them.
As for me, I haven't showed the 2016 RDX nor driven any qualified girls in it yet. Gonna break in the engine first so I can floor the gas pedal!!

So many people neglect to do this. And, well, it doesn't end well for them.
I think you're on the right path.

I think the manual said to drive at least 1000 km before hard acceleration or hard breaking. Right now I'm taking it easy. Even so, I'm impressed by the acceleration of this
