We finally decided....
I had posted a couple of weeks ago asking about the RDX, Edge, and Murano. Well, we finally decided on a new car....
We picked up a 2012 Acura MDX w/tech on Sat!
For 2500 more than the RDX (truecar.com) we got everything we were looking for, plenty of cargo space for our new arrival in Sept! And what I especially like is that you can put the infant seat in the middle of the second row with the latch system. Thanks for everyone's input on the RDX and Murano. It was definitely a big help.

How did you manage to get that price for the MDX? Is it new?
I see here in Canada the difference between RDX base and MDX base is about 12000+tax!

Although there's a CAD$12k difference between the base price of RDX and base price of MDX, Acura is currently offering huge incentives on the MDX. There's a $6000 discount and a $1500 credit for accessories...plus dealers might offer even more discount since the new MDX should be arriving in about 6 months or so. I'm not surprised if one can get around $10k of discount on a MDX Elite for instance.

NO doubt about it that there will be great deals on the 2012 MDX and it makes perfect sense. It is very similar to what the RDX went through prior to the arrival of the 2013. If folks don't care about getting the latest and greatest, these are fantastic opportunities. The MDX is a FANTASTIC vehicle and still very attractive and relevant....The 2013 model may come out with things that people will really like (or not) but those that get great deals on the 2012 should enjoy their purchase and never have second doubt when the 2013 come out.
Personally, I tend to prefer to get the latest models as I like to have something different but different stroke for different folks....

@rdxm: yes, brand new, I used truecar.com and got prices from dealers that are a part of that program. As said though, with the new version approaching, dealers are looking to make sales. There is a 1500.00 manufacturer to dealer rebate until the end of May as well.
@weather: I like the latest and greatest too but have no issues with our decision. Even though the ILX was on the floor with push button start (a nice feature) I'm not too lazy to use a key, although I'm sure the new MDX will most likely have push button start as a standard feature, as well as a few others I'm sure.
Thanks again for everyone's help though. The RDX was appealing for mpg's and regular gas but the MDX beat it out with the cargo space and the SH-AWD.

Its nice to see a consumer who can look at his need and make the appropriate decision. Congrats on the MDX...a FINE looking piece of machinery you will have on your hand! Make sure you posts a few pics to we can see it. The MDX in white is soooo gorgeous....
