i have a 2017 acura rdx with 27k miles. im doing my first transmission fluid change on it. i drove around the block until the engine is hot, park on level ground, drain it and out 4 qt came out.. its more the the car manual said... why is that????? anyone can help please do...

on the car manual said 3.3 qt ... so what i did is put back 4 qt and now i check the dip stick right after i turn off the engine waited for 60 sec.. it about 1/4 over the max line.. its that overfill?? its it going to damage my tranny? ?? will bubble on me??? OR will i be ok ??

big question is what id consider over fill??? by how much??? thank u for your help

 

edit.... my dip stick is showing 1/8 over the max line .. sorry

My 2016 recently hit 30k miles and I did a drain and fill. I drained 4 quarts and replaced it with 3.5 quarts. My reading is just barely over the fill mark. Honda overfilled the transmission at the factory and it ran fine like that. When I spoke to the local dealership they told me when they do a drain and fill on the transmission they put in 4 quarts. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
