Tires for acura rdx 2014

Hi All,

I am looking to get new tires for my rdx. I found the size of the tires I need - 235 60R18. Would like to know if I need to have 107V (load/speed rating XL) for my tires or can go with lower ones also which fits the vehicle. Does these extra load tires affect car mileage anyway ?

Currently my vehicle has the Michellin tires with107V load/speed rating.

Thanks!!

The “107” is a load rating meaning up 2149 pounds per tire. The “V” rating is good for up to 149 mph. Bottom line, overkill for the RDX. Yes, you can go lower.

P.S. Go to TireRack.com and view all compatible tires and specs.

Check your Owner's Manual.

FYI, my 2017 came with 102V tires which is also listed in the specifications.
