Question Is there supposed to be an Under-Engine Tray/Splash Guard for the 2016 RDX?

Hi there, bought our 2016 RDX used about a year ago. While I had the hood open today, I looked in the engine bay and noticed that behind the engine I could see straight through to the ground, and was wondering if maybe there was an undercarriage plastic tray missing here? Worried about salt getting into the engine bay as I'm seeing some minor surface rust spots in certain areas.

Thanks!

Do you mean that you can see the ground through the engine bay when looking from above? If that's the case, then that's typically normal. There's usually some plastic shields (and/or metal shields) to protect some parts of the car that are vital.

The engine compartment from under the bottom should cover one big plastic piece

Yeah, I mean if I look behind the engine (where the firewall is) then I can see straight down to the ground. The picture above seems to confirm that that area is not covered by a tray. Thanks both!
