Correction to my above post. Turns out my salesman was wrong. I received 2 remote starter FOBs when I added the remote start. FOBs look like the picture posted above (and same as my wife's 2014 MDX).

Tip for those getting remote start installed - ask for your original FOBs too. Those things aren't cheap, and you have a backup (no remote start, but at least able to start your car) in case you lose a FOB.

Why would you have to ask for your original fob?

When my wife got her MDX a couple years ago they didn't have her original FOBs. She had read the tip about asking for your originals from an MDX forum before buying.

Seems a lot of dealers assume you'l only want the new FOBs with the remotes. They had to dig hers out of some bin.

How do you use the fob to start the car remotely in a 2016 Advance Pkg with factory remote start feature? If you press and hold the ENGINE button on the fob, it does not work.

Did you press lock first, then hold down the auto-start button?

There is no Auto-Start button. It has an Engine button, Lock, Unlock and Trunk Open buttons.

I have the power folding mirrors and they are great. Never thought they were of any use but I sue them all the time in tight spaces.

^as it pertains to the remote start?...idk.
I was hoping adding them would be possible but the interior bezel would need to be changed and a switch installed.
but not having them folding is a shame especially on the adv package in murica'
