Rear brake light

I just noticed that the brake light that is on the hatch door above the rear window is not lighting when braking. Could it be a bulb issue or a fuse issue? Thanks.

There's only one stop light fuse (under the hood) so if your side brake lights are working you can eliminate that possibility. Do you have incanescent bulbs in your center light? If so that could certainly be the problem. It's easy to check, just pull the assembly out (remove two triangular lens pieces and remove screws under them, pull the light/lens assembly out). With a multimeter or test light you can check for power at the connector and for continuity across the bulbs.

Cheers!
