RDX tech package Xenon lights
So I have the 2013 RDX AWD Tech..the Xenon lights on ALL other acuras look Bluish...and I am suppose to have that also. But on mine, it's like whitish/Bluish..
I had my wife drive the car behind me and I noticed in my rear view mirror of my accord, the xenon lights are whitish and bluish depending on what bumps the car goes through.
I feel like the bulb are moving..i dont know if I am making sense here..
Very very strong whitish/bluish light.
Other acuras I see are more like Bluish light when they are oncoming towards you and the light seems to stay in place..like the beam doesn't move up and down much...
Am I making any sense here???

The HID lights on my 06 TSX, 08 RDX, and 11 MDX all look a little different with the older TSX looking the brightest (more blue-ish) and very distinct cut off on the road to the MDX with a much softer HID cut off and not as bright (leans more softer white-ish light).
I can still pick out Acura's on the road at night with the tight blue-ish projector headlights compared to other vehicles. I had to adjust the angle on my RDX and TSX when purchased and this changed the way the light looked to on-coming traffic when they were out of adjustment (more color variation over bumps seen by others when they were not angle properly). Not as bad as the old Honda S2000 because the HID would range from white/blue/purple depending on how big the bump on the road was and on-coming viewing angle.
I would have Acura check out the HID angle the next time your are in for a service. They adjusted for free for me both times.

cool..I didn't know it can be adjusted...like in a way they almost seem "adaptive" rather than "fixed"
I have not come across a single RDX Tech so I can't compare with another RDX...but I have seen plenty of TLs and TSXs and the light seems more "Fixed" bluish

I've seen similar light variations on our RDX when viewed in the rear view mirror of another car. Yes it does seem like the light is moving / changing colors. It doesn't have any effect on the visibility for the RDX though. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I think it is normal, as she goes over bumps the aim of the bulbs is not the same so you are seeing the light refracting through the lens at different angles. Acura HIDs are some of the best out there. I was driving in front of gf this morning and I notices how great the RDX HIDs looked and lit up the road. It reminded me I need to get LED or different fog bulbs.

I am glad somebody brought this thread back.
So I just got the 2014 infiniti q50 and I compared the lights on my wife's 2013 rdx tech.
Q50 has led/xenon fog lights that also appear bluish. So I turned off the fog lights on both cars. With just the low beam on, the q50 definitely has more of a bluish tint.
When I am sitting in the q50, I can tell it's got the bluish tint. In the rdx, it starts out bluish when you turn on the headlight but as it warms up, the color is more bright white.
Don't get me wrong, the visibility is amazing with the rdx, I just don't understand the variation
Also, it seems like some of the older Acuras (2 to 3ys older) seem to have more bluish tint and less movement of the bulb....like better fixated.

The difference in variation is more likely due to headlight design, fresnel lens, etc. There's different variables as to why light appears different. I have seen the 2G MDX, 3G TL, and 1 and 2G TSX headlights in oncoming traffic, and they all put off a different color hue, depending on which angle im looking at. Now I have seen cars with LED headlights and the color temperature is definitely higher, more of a bluish hue.
