The July 2016 issue of Car and Driver had a short article on cars with best and worst residual values after three years. The RDX won in the luxury comact SUV category with a 59% residual value.

 

I just took a good friend yesterday to trade in her 47 month old 2013 RDX Tech she purchased new in July 2012. She has 19k miles on it

We shopped the 2016 Lexus NX200T and RX350 and also RDX. I was pleasantly shocked at RDX resale. Both Lexus and Acura offered $25k for her RDX. She purchased a 2017 Lunar Silver RDX Advance with Acura lower door chrome trim moldings. The color is almost identical to my 2012 RL Forged Silver.

Kudos to Rallye Acura (again) in Roslyn NY and Anthony Pergolizzi salesman. A great repeat sales experience.

 

Good to hear. Her car sounds like it was a cream puff. Low miles and only four years old.

 

I'd say my residual value is in the toilet - a 2015 with 60K.. I'd love to drive that little I'd keep my cars forever!
