Question re: 2016 auto dimming rear view mirror
Could someone please tell me if the 2016 RDX Advance/Elite has a small green light that comes on the bottom portion of the rear view mirror?
I could have sworn that there are two small squares and that one was a sensor and one was a light (just like my old MDX), however, when I took it in for service and said it wasn't working (after they had removed the mirror to fix something else) they told me that there is no light and that the little squares are both sensors.
If anyone knows, could you please reply?
Thanks!

I didn't see any light on my mirror yesterday afternoon, even after turning on the headlights.
I tried again early this morning when it was still dark, and still no green light.
I also remember seeing a green light, so I must be thinking of my wife's Subaru. Either that or it only comes on with a certain set of conditions which I haven't come across yet.

On my 2016 Advance there is a small green light between the "Link" and "Assist" buttons. There are also small blue lights on either side of the homelink buttons. I believe the green light is to help locate the buttons in the dark and that the blue lights are low level lights to illuminate the gear shift and forward storage tray at night.
There are no lights on the mirror.

The 2015 & 2016 TLX has no squares or anything on it for that matter. It's perfectly flush all around. The sensor must be somewhere else, or embedded behind the glass, or something. Maybe the RDX is similar?

There are two small squares on the bottom of the mirror (facing to the rear). both look like sensors, not lights.
BTW... The blue and green lights I mentioned in my earlier post are only on with the lights turned on.

I had the same concern. My sister's '15 RDX Tech has a green light on her rearview mirror while my '16 RDX Advance doesn't.
Just shine a flashlight into the mirror at night with the engine on and see if the reflection of the light changes in the mirror. That should provide a quick check on whether it's working.

My 14 RDX has the green light and on /off switch which the OP is looking for. I believe it might have been removed after the MMC. Anyway the green light doesn't matter if the mirror is working as desired.

No mention of a green light or switch. Normally when there's an indicator, the manual will say so.
Those 2 squares are sensors only. The auto-dimming is done by comparing the light difference between the 2.
I for one DON'T want a stupid green light there. It's annoying!
