A query for you wisemen...

...so its getting a tad bit hot. Now, when you put the A/C on max ('Lo') with all the bars its getting there...then, when you put the thing on Auto (left button) it --- at least to this pilgrim --- seems to get a tad bit colder.
What say ye? I have the thing on recirculate when not on Auto, so thats not it. Thoughts? Is there a super cool mode that kicks in when Auto is hit and setting is on Lo?

Your sage thoughts, as always, appreciated.....

I don't know but I find the A/C in this RDX is very cold. Best I have had yet. I usually just set the auto climate @ 21 degrees C or 72 degrees F for the Americans.

I live in Texas and its often near 100 outside. We get very good cooling with the auto setting and both sides on 75. When you put the AC on full blast the air does not feel as cold as leaving the auto on and allowing the thermostat in the car do the adjusting. The recycyle will come on first, leave it alone because if you turn it off you loose the auto setting.

Full blast, I was told years ago, pushes the air so fast thru the cooling system that it can loose coldness in the process.

Same here, I set mine to Auto and the temp to 66 as I have two dogs in the car want no vent in the rear. I find after ten minutes it really cools down the whole car. It works well.

Texdriver is right. When on max cold, the unit forces so much (warm) air through the condenser that it kind of overwhelms its ability to cool the air.

You get a lot more air movement on LO, but the air itself isn't quite as cold as when it is having to process a lesser volume of air.
