People flashing me ...

Now, since it is getting really dark really early, around 5 pm., seems that when driving (not often - wife's car), I am noticing that people are flashing lights at me (from opposite direction). Like as if my lights are off or there is a problem. It has happened 3-4 times over the last couple weeks. I have my lights on "auto" and I know they are On as I can see them on the rear of car ahead of me. I know the longs are off. Not sure if this is due to Xenon lights ? Anyone else has the same experience ?

I was wondering why this wasn't in ramblings. Not too sure what the problem might be but have you looked into getting your lights recalibrated. Just adjusted so its not too high

people get pissy because the headlights are up slightly higher off the ground and as such, more light gets to the oncoming traffic.

Same was happening to me so I used a screwdriver and lowered them a miniscule amount. No more flashing and I can't tell any difference.

Give em' some of your brights then! hahaha. I do this when people flash me in my 3G TL, which if you've ever been in front of one or coming head on, you'll know how bright they are.

I'd be cautious of that strategy. The brights on these things are VERY bright and very high. It's one thing to have someone flash you in error, but IMHO, if you start flashing back intentionally to teach them a lesson, you will eventually flash the wrong person.

My suggestions: lower the driver side headlight a bit, then ignore any further flashing.

I don't get any flashes but I agree the lights are very bright...bright but not very bluish...The bluishness comes and goes depending on angles

I had my wife drive the RDX behind me and I was like holy shit, it's bright on my driver side mirror.

also the bulb on the right side is meant to be slightly higher than the one on left to be able to read signs clearly..since most signs are on the right side.

^^ I thought that the left one was lower so that it wouldn't blind oncoming traffic....we are saying the same thing just with a different twist I guess

We are both right..

I just wish the lights were more bluish like Audi and BMW

I get flashed a fair amount at night in my 3G TL.

I just flash back. The problem is not the car, it is the people who like to stare directly at oncoming headlights.

I got flashed about an hour after driving off the lot with my 2014 RDX with tech just last week. I was wondering why, but I guess this explains it. IT does seem a little brighter than most cars would be. But I like it that way. Just wish the DRLS were more "up to date" on the this "Luxury" SUV.
