Looking to buy a RDX
Hey just wanted to say hi. I am currently shopping for a White RDX AWD w/tech. Hopefully will find a deal as I am waiting on my wife's hand me down V6 Rav4 as my own daily driver.
I am hoping tomorrow's test drive will make her happy as she likes quiet, smooth ride and acceleration on par with her V6 Rav4. The Rav4 kind of got her used to more power and she specifically told me to rule out any vehicle slower than the Rav4 v6 when it comes to acceleration and passing power. Our size, price, and power limitations as set between us pointed us towards the RDX out of the few on the list as the best overall choice.
Anyways we will know by tomorrow if we are absolutely going with the RDX.

Good luck, I think you will love the RDX. Quiet, smooth, and peppy. Listen for any rear suspension clunking over sudden dips at moderate speeds 25-49mph such as manhole covers, ect...
hopefully in the furture there will be a TSB to address the issue.

Test drive went ok. Seems our decided color is not readily available at our local dealerships. If we ask for one from somewhere else in nearby state they plan to drive it over. I for one am not interested in a hired driver breaking in my new car for the first few miles on a highway trip.
That being said pricing offered from dealer we went to is $36,950 for AWD w/TECH. Not too bad imo, but we have skipped on white twice already with past vehicles because of the same availability reason. As a result I am inclined to find a way to get the color we want this time.
Wife asked about other car options too because of the lack of white RDXs in the area but I am pushing to stick it out for a white RDX rather than going with something else.

They drive the car over? When we wanted a car at a different dealership, we had it brought over by a carrier. No additional miles added. Ask them if they have any white RDXs coming in within the month.

I know they can ship it. We negotiated a white AWD tech tonight that worked out. Looking forward to the ownership experience. I am already looking into venture shield and opticoat.

Did you get your Rdx? May I ask what state you are in where you are getting that price for the AWD with Tech? I'm in Southern California and haven't been able to get the price that low..I am in the market for one too. Thanks!

It was the price a dealer in NJ agreed to. The dealer sales person was complaining that it is almost below invoice but that with the end of the month incentives they wanted the business and did the deal.

Have you been seeing the sales number for the 2G RDX?!?! It is one of Acura's best seller now...shattering records since the days its been out. Acura hit a home run on this one. The fact that some dealers are heavily discounting them is not a reflection on the vehicle itself but rather, either the poor performance of the dealer or the sales person and their desperation to make a sale.

An AWD Tech version has a MSRP of about $40,315. Doing the math this price is about $3300 under MSRP.....not $5k. Still a very good price if no trade, outlandish dealer fees or exhorbitant finance charges are involved. Sometimes dealer fees of $300-$500 make a deal not so grand. If a trade is involved than it is very hard to judge because the purchaser may take a hit on the trade while getting a good deal off MSRP on the RDX. It's all in the details.
And yes, the RDX is selling very good for Acura but supply has caught to demand to a certain degree. It is January/February timeframe so deals are sometimes easier to make during the dead of winter.

I do not believe I took a major beating on the deal. There was no trade in but I did buy the Gap ins and a 3 yr extended factory warranty from them out of all the stuff they try to push on you at the end. I am sure profits are in those items aplenty even with the discount I negotiated from their initial offered price.
Bottom line I am happy with our purchase and rather than dwell upon what few more dollars I could have saved out of this I'd rather see my wife enjoying her car, which she is very happy with so far.

Hey masterrdx, when you finally get a command of the English language and are not supported by an Acura competitor, come on back and try to contribute something that adds a bit of intelligence to the conversation. Is that seriously the best you can do?

Do us a favor...tame your harmones down and then talk about English language and intelligence....and I know how good your English is and how intelligent folks like you're who talk trash like this.
Moderator, please do not allow such RUDE comments on this forum. I come here to learn and share something with all gentleman and ladies here. I would beg pardon from all if I mis-spoke anything on the forum and yes I was angry after a seeing a belittling post like this. Thanks

Just wanted to update a bit. We love the Acura so far. Its quiet and comfortable on trips around town and on the highway. Only things I find slightly annoying are the lack of ability to adjust the rear seat backs and how easy the interior shows dirt and scuffs. No issues mechanically. We both have a heavy foot so gas Milage average is 17.1mpg according to the OBC with about 85% local driving.

Glad you're enjoying the vehicle. I have only about 700 miles on mine so far, but I'm really enjoying mine.

Lexus RX350 most likely would have risen to the 2nd choice spot after the RDX but would come in close to 50k
Audi Q5 3.2 with the new motor upgrade and the Mercedes GLK350 with the new motor were both possibilities too but would have cost me another 15k specced the way I like.
