Is it just me ....

Or does your Acura RDX adjust the volume on its own? I noticed that when I am driving at a high speed the volume is loud but when I slow down or stop the volume will adjust and lower. It's quite annoying when you have a lot of traffic lights. It's not a huge adjustment very suttle but I don't need my volume adjusting itself.

By the way, this is my first Acura so I am not familiar with Acura technology if this is a normal feature. Is so, how do I shut it off.

Sorry...it's just you

Kidding, of course! Pretty sure we can defeat the auto-adjust volume; but I haven't tried. Ours seems to be good the way it is...BLASTING for DW, normal volume for me

I thought the speed sensitive volume controls was one of the features of Acura, Not just Acura but a lot of the cars out there have it and we find it useful (not having to turn up the volume at highway speeds) Not sure why you are annoyed with it? You mean at traffic lights the volume is too low? I'm sure there must be some way to turn it off.
But I'll be very annoyed if this feature didn't work in mine.

Reading the owner's manual is often very helpful. Acura, like most other modern cars, has speed sensitive volume to compensate for road noise. You can deactivate that or adjust the sensitivity.

Big thanks. Exactly what I was looking for. I was able to adjust the sensitivity and it's perfect now. I am happy to have these forums. I am sure I would find my answer eventually but this is much quicker.

Thanks a bunch.

I can see someone may want to disable or lower the sensitivity just because they have an infant sleeping in the car. It's good that Acura has settings on this.

I usually set mine to the mid level. Tire roar, wind noise, ELS system, and trying to carry on a conversation at 80 mph can be too much at the highest setting. Need some type of noise cancelling tech with all Acura systems.
