Interior trim pieces from wood trim upgrade

I did a search on the forum and found 1 member that had upgraded their interior trim pieces in their 2013 / 2014 RDX. I am wondering if anyone else has done the wood trim upgrade and if they are willing to sell the old trim pieces.

If you have done a wood trim upgrade and want to sell the prior trim pieces, let me know. I am looking for just the trim and not the shifter nob / steering wheel.

Thanks!

I installed the wood trim pieces (not the steering wheel/shifter knob), but the wood trim kit is designed to be placed over the existing trim. There are no old trim pieces left over.

I also did the wood (plastic?) trim kit minus the steering wheel and shifter. I think you can buy all these sepetately wihout any problems.

Thanks! I didn't realize the parts were overlaps. Did it take long to install the wood trim accessories? Does it look like real wood?

I am on the fence about doing this and thought the current pieces came out and were placed by the wood parts.

The wood parts look better than most plastic wood that I have seen. It is a matte finish, not shiny. If you do a search on this forum for "wood trim" you will find some links to pictures of the kit installed in several people's cars.

I think it provides a nice contrast by breaking up the all black interior.
I skipped the steering wheel and shift knob. The trim took me approximately 1 hour to do. It's fairly straight forward if you follow the instructions.

Thx much. I had actually seen those prior, was hoping to get someone to take close up shots...trying to ascertain how plastic the pieces really look....been wondering for last 10'years when Acura will follow the Lexus lead on wood...

I had them all installed and it looks great. It is much better than stock. I really like the steering wheel.

Hmm ... wonder how that steering wheel cover works? It has to be pre-formed into that shape, I presume (?)

I've had a few cars (Lexuses) with that part-wood steering wheel and I didn't like it - the transition from soft leather to hard wood is distracting to me, such as when turning, etc. And here in hot TX, that wood (or in this case, faux wood) part can get very hot!

I have to say I kinda like the rest of the wood-look trim, though.
