Inner Brake Light Assembly

Inner Brake Light Assembly
I have tried searching the internet and the forums here but I haven't come across a good explanation of how to change the inner tail light assembly on a 2013 RDX. The inner one on the tailgate NOT the outer brake light assembly on the body. My assembly is damaged with a hole so I would like to do this myself instead of paying the dealer or another auto shop. If anyone has any experience with this or have a guide which might help it would be greatly appreciated.

Everything is super simple, 2 bolts on the outside, 2 nuts on the inside behind a plastic cover and the light comes off from one plastic clip.

How much of the tailgate trim on the inside do I need to remove to get to those interior bolts? I mean I could just take the whole thing off but if I don't have to why do it.

I just got this repair completed. It was easy but you do have to remove a trim piece on the side of the tailgate in order to access two of the bolts. The trim piece was just held in with two screws and a retainer clip. Also there is a retainer clip on the light itself which made it arick a bit when removing.
