Is it possible Acura is going to produce a Hybrid RDX?

I'm thinking they will offer a 2nd engine choice when it is time for the MMC as the same as the TLX 2.4L direct injection with a 8DCT for the FWD RDX only. The RDX and TLX are pretty close in weight and there isn't an entry level SUV to get young or smaller families into the Acura fold. ILX is way too small, TSX is going away, TLX price will be too high and is still small for families and too much of a price gap compared to the ILX for folks to naturally jump into.

A base or tech FWD I-4 RDX starting at the old TSX prices would be an nice addition to get younger buyers in.

The only vehicle I see getting the sport hybrid system treatment is the MDX during the MMC in a few years.

ezgobob....I saw strong evidence that they will produce an RDX with a hybrid drive train....Not that it would be my cup of tea.

Acura needs to add more features to RDX in order to distinguish a 2.4 RDX from CRV. There's no reason to buy a 2.4 RDX at higher price at current features.

The Civic Si and ILX 2.4L with 6MT comes to mind for a product that cost more for very little extra features. Actually, the whole civic/ILX line up is very confusing to me. I can see Honda/Acura confusing me some more with a I-4 RDX in the same price range as a maxed out CR-V.

with Lexus adding a hybrid to the NX Acura should follow suit with the Accord hybrid engine.

Lexus is really gunning to steal customers away from the Acura RDX, BMW X1 / X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes GLK.

Definitely. I also see other manufactures have stepped up to offer more luxurious interior under the traditional brand (i.e. Toyota). Personally, Acura's interior is never luxurious and it's a turn off. I remember switching from my 03 Accord to 07 TSX, the console was almost the same as my Accord.
