How do you "Activate" the nav unit?
How do you "Activate" the nav unit?
On my '15 RDX tech, when I first got it I could click the center enter button past the nav map, where i has the choices of messages, traffic, weather, etc.,and see where the traffic jams were.
Now when I try it,it just says,"Not activated".or something like that. Was this a trial period deal with Acuralink or something, and now that it's over 90 days old it expired?
When I first start the car,the Acuralink logo page stays on for a few seconds.
I have a year subscription of XM radio, and that does have traffic, but it was handy seeing the congestion on a map.
Thanks for any feedback!

If you have purchased the traffic portion of SiriusXM, then you need to call SiriusXM and have re-send a signal to your car.
I find the traffic portion to be too expensive at $4 a month ($8 including weather) especially since both of those services are available more reliably on any smartphone via Waze (traffic) or any multitude of weather apps.
No,the battery has never been disconnected. Now that I think about it,and going by the responses here,I think when i sbscribed to a year of XM,I opted for a slightly lesser plan than the 90 day trial package.I only really wanted the XM radio, and only in the car so that probably explains it.
Thanks for the replies!
