"Gas Cap Open" warning

We have a 2013 RDX, about 2 months old. Basically love it. But every once in a while a warning notice in the center of the dashboard where info normally displays, shows an exclaimation point and the message: "gas cap open". When the cap isn't open and no gas has even been put in recently.

So we'll rescrew it and the message is still there. Then after starting the car again later it's just gone.

Obviously a glitch somewhere. Has anyone else experienced this and fixed it? When we take it for it's first service we'll have the dealer check it but was wondering if there was something we could do till then.

Thanks.

^^ It is quite common. In the problem & fix section, you will seea thread there too. Sometime, the problem will go away on its own. I had the same on my 2009 TSX but have not seen in a long time....never on my 2012 TL and my 2013 RDX either.

Thanks for the help in finding the other thread. One guy said to replace the pcv solenoid. So when we go for service I'll mention that.
