ECU Reset

Anybody notice RDX seem to feel sluggish after months or years compared to when you test drive the car? Just wonder if any RDX owner attempt to reset ECU to correct that?

Look like on TL forums, they can do soft reset (without disconnect battery). Wonder if that works with 2nd generation RDX.
Other than that, you have to drive it more aggressive and let it re-learn.

If you have any experience, please share.

Where do you reside? Is it Hot out? If you're driving in these conditions and with the AC on, of course the car will feel less responsive.
It's commanding less timing to protect the engine from meltdown.
Resetting the ECU wont be of any help.

AC at level 1 or 3 or 25 doesnt matter. if the AC is on the Compressor is engaged and working which pulls power. the level is more related to the blower power not the AC unit. turn up the level it blows harder, doesnt cool more / less, run the system more / less. just blows more. so for total power you need to have the AC OFF. not the whole system just the AC button or setting turn off. that disengages the compressor which opens up HP.

Check your tail pipe. We stuck a potato in a neighbor's car once when I was a kid. He never did find out why it ran so bad.... Sold it and bought a new VW bug.

For weeks he bragged how good his gas mileage is. We were sneaking over late at night adding a few gallons to his tank once or twice a week. We did that for about three months. Getting over 100 mpg.... he thought.

We quit doing that..... and he went completely ballistic! At the VW dealer every other day complaining about his poor mileage. He talked to an attorney about sueing the dealer and VW. Ended up, selling that car. His wife divorced him. He lost his job. Just about went nuts with frustration. He finally found peace when.... he moved to a senior rest home.

How are you getting along with your Neighbor's?

Agree with your assessment Speeden6. Also, my understanding from my local dealer tech is that the Acura's computer temporarily cuts off the A/C when there is a call for high load on the engine to give it the power it's calling for. I once had an issue where the A/C on my TL would cut off and not come back on because of an issue with this feature in one of the computer modules.

Don't know how many miles you have on your baby, but have you thought about a fuel injector cleaning?
