Dog barrier

Anyone found one for the rear which would keep dog from climbing over and being a good fit ? I tried rising the headrests but this does not help.

We push the front seats all the way back so they don't fall down between the front seats and the rear folded seats. My dogs lie down once underway so not an issue. On longer drives I put their doggy beds in the back and they almost always fall asleep in the beds.

Take a look at these from Dr Fosters and Smith

Looking for a dog/cargo barrier. Any recommendations?

This one seems decent with an easy installation: PetEgo K9 Guard Universal Pet Barrier - K9 Guard Car Barriers for Pets - Motor Trend Car Barrier

Placed an order a few days ago and it arrived today. Too lazy to set it up and take photos for you guys. Hopefully I'll get around to it over the 3-day weekend.

My review:

For those who travel with dogs or other pets in the 30~60lbs range, this is a good investment. My dog is normally in the 50~55lbs range. Any bigger than that, it's probably better to fold the rear seats down because the cargo area is limited. So far, there's been no rattling. It's all basically all metal except some plastic clips that that extends and joins the product. It clips onto the rear headrest metal portion, so you won't have to worry about leaving marks the ceiling or cargo floor like other products. I paid about $60 shipped. Solid buy for those looking for a pet barrier.

Installed:

Cargo area ceiling is lower than I expected. The part dangling towards the rear seats can be added on top for larger vehicles:

The sides can be extended to custom fit your car:

Nice! You mentioned putting the rear seats down to give the dog more space. It looks like it may fit on the front seats as well?

I read some reviews that said it won't work on the front seats for some reason. It may have been for a different car since this product isn't custom to our RDX. I'll have to test it and report back.

Tried it out on the front seats. You can make it work, but just remember that if you move the driver or passenger seat, it'll be crooked and will need an adjustment. The part that connects to the headrest sort of dug into the leather, but I'm sure you could fix that by raising the headrest higher.

Also, you can add the top portion to make it taller. Although, looking at the photo now, it looks like your pet can still peep his head through below the bars from the center. Better than nothing I guess.

Sort of a sloppy installation. Didn't plan on leaving it on in the front:

Don't buy it for the current price ($74ish). Sign up and create an account. They'll send you a 20 percent off coupon within a day or two. Actually, I just checked my email and I have the code: PBEB3

I paid $59.28 for mine. I'm not particularly anal, but I started hearing some rattling a few days ago. It might have been due to my poor install. Will try to straighten it out and see what's causing the rattling. Will let you guys know how it goes.

Installed back on the rear seat headrests. Tried tightening the screws but still hear a little rattle when I go over some of the larger potholes. Doesn't make any sound when going over cracks, bridges, etc. at relatively safe speeds. Some of you who are more detail oriented may dislike the slight rattling. I'm sure duct tape would fix the issue, but it's not that big of a deal for me.

Photo of my dog in the cargo area. A little cramped:

I use a seat hammock for two years now without any problems, but I'm thinking of getting a pet barrier. The PetEgo looks like a good idea.
