Discovered a New Feature

Purchased a 2014 Tech in Oct and I'm still discovering features...I live in CA and so far this year not much rain. Well this weekend it is pouring. Yesterday I stop at the cleaners and when I shut the car off I left my front wipers on (which I did without thinking about it) of course the wipers stopped. When I got back in and started the car the front wipers came on but when I put it in reverse so did the back wipers for just a few swipes, initially I thought there was a problem with the back wipers, but after several more stops, the same thing. Has anyone else encounter this>

I just noticed this same thing last week. I have a 2013 FWD Tech. I did not know about this feature, so it was a nice surprise.

A friend with a CRV pointed this out to me. Kinda freaked me out a bit when I saw it actually happen for the fist time. As long as the front wipers are on, it will cycle the rear window every time.

Handy feature so you can see out of your back window when reversing.

Most of the discoveries have been discussed previously...

...if you do a search on 'Tips and Tricks' you will save much time and learn much in a hurry....

Our 2008 CRV also had it.

Not that it got much use here in the desert...

I did, and it didn't help much.

The other day, as I was walking up to the car, all the windows and sunroof opened. I was trying to open the hatch, but obviously pressed the unlock button in a certain sequence.

One of the problems in going through the entire manual when you get a new vehicle is that if you don't use a particular feature, you forget it's there.

While we're on the subject of rear wipers, does anyone elses sound like a mouse squeak when it wipes?

It's been doing this since it was brand new and it probably just needs a new blade, but just felt like asking.

No squeaks in 18 months with ours. And we've actually had some rain in that period...unlike the previous three years.
