Can we shut up the voice lady?

Okay, I'm usually pretty good at stuff like this, and I've been in Setup and turned everything relating to Voice "off". But the voice lady still speaks every menu item and every phone book entry, and I want her to shut up.

Can we even do that? What am I missing?

I think you are missing something. Mine rarely talks to me. I think it was something with menu assist or something that was default to Auto and you have the option of off and on.

It does still talk to confirm my voice dial, but doesn't speak the menu items anymore.

I have the voice turned off by lowering the volume of the assistant....that works for me. Is that what you are asking for? I assume you don't want her to speak... period...correct?

I just don't want her blabbing every time I go into a menu or into my phonebook.

I DO want her to talk to me during navigation, though.

I think what you are looking for is INFO-->SETUP-->INTERFACE DIAL FEEDBACK. If you turn this off she won't read every selection.

Thank you. It was hiding in plain sight.

Thanks Mike...I was going to write back yesterday and had friends over for a visit and too much wine later, never got back online (nor would have been wise to give any advice at that point - too much wine *lol* - What can I say, I am French)

I don't like more than one female giving me directions, both car and wife. In my 05 TL I changed the voice in car to male (made wife mad when I told her why.) Have not figured out how to do that on RDX yet.

Look on the bright side, if they both go at it, you could witness a true "cat fight"

^^ Too bad you can't have that feature programmed with the remote....you have both voice available and you save the voice to the remote as the seats do Now, if you could even program different accents...I love a nice southern (Texas) accent (female of course), so that would be awesome - I'd probably intentionally get lost so she would talk to me....*lol*

LOL. My wife has a habit of taking off her seat belt as we pull into our driveway but before I come to a stop. The lady invariably says something like "please put on passenger seat belt". On occasion, my wife talks back saying "shut up already you ...".
