Can the tires be saved?

Tires have 15K on them. The shop that did the install had a problem with their alignment machine so never got it done. As a result, tires wearing in an uneven way and much road noise as a result. If I get an alignment, will the tires start to wear correctly and some of the excessive noise go away or is it a lost cause?

Thank you,

Thank you,

If the failure to align caused wear similar as shown below you may want to purchase new tires, especially if on the front wheels.
Though, without pictures (as mentioned above) of the tire wear severity, it would be very difficult to determine over the interwebs.

It's very hard to tell if the tires will go back to wearing evenly. Pics would be a big help. I would imagine 15k miles of uneven wear on a set of tires would probably be hard to reverse.

Nope, the damage is done.. unless you get an alignment and decide to go drifting on it to even everything out i guess

Most likely not depending on how bad it is. Once you wear some odd flat spots into the tires, they're toast. The shop should assist you in the replacement of those tires. That is unless you didn't go back to get them done asap even though they offered. Likely you need a full set and the shop will tell you to kick rocks bc they made you aware of the issue before it got bad.
