Buying a new SUV

Given these information from the websites you guys mentioned for 2014 RDX AWD Tech.
NADA.com : MSRP - 40,515 Invoice- 38,045
KBB.com : Fair purchase price - 38,310
Truecar.com : MSRP - 40,515; Factory Invoice - 38,345 ; Average paid - 38,243
Edmunds.com : MSRP - 40,890 ; True Market value - 40,386 ; Invoice - 38,392
For the car they are offering, it's the car + destination fee = 38K
Taxes and tag are extra. Is this a good deal ?
Wildeklave has suggested earlier invoice / invoice +500. (Thanks for that).
They showed me the invoice price somewhere above 38,500. I have no means to know if that is the true invoice or something made up by them.
Is it worth going ahead, or do you guys think that it is a ripoff ….???
What have you guys paid for a similar car ?
Thanks.

So I take it that 38,000 (vehicle + destination) which they are offering is a reasonable deal.
Anyone has a difference of opinion (??? Coachrick) kindly speak up please (before I take the plunge... likely this week). Thanks everyone for all the help guys.

They might be willing to deal more if they have a surplus left in stock...they might be willing to deal if they have end-of-month numbers to hit(Memorial Day sale?) BUT, they are more likely to offer something next month to clear out the '14s AND meet quarterly numbers.
Heck, offer to write the check for $500 less and see if they bite. That way, we can all feel a little better about the deal.

If you can save a few bucks on the '14 and will keep the vehicle at least 5 years, I'd take the up front savings vs the newness of a virtually unchanged '15.

OK guys, it's a done deal. We got our new RDX 2014 AWD tech in Kona Coffee. It rides great and had only 3 miles on the odo ( which was mostly driven by me ). Wifey liked the car very much and wanted it sooner and therefore had to do the deal. Sealed it for $37,400 for the car, accessories and destination. Walked out the door @ 39k and small change. You guys all helped us every step of the way. As per Truecar it's a great deal but I know several of you have got a lot better deals. All I can say is I couldn't have done any better than this and was nearly walking out of dealership before the deal was done. We couldn't be any happier at this time. Thanks again and Cheers to all...

it seems like you got a very fair deal and have a vehicle you are very happy with

^^ Congrats.....I think you will be quite happy with your RDX. I'd still have it if it wasn't for the fact that we needed 2 daily drivers and I just couldn't let myself take the RDX in the rain/snow. My only gripe with the RDX was the rear suspension noise but its not a drive-ability issue but an annoyance, and again, my annoyance is the fact that Acura couldn't solve this issue 2 years after the fact. That is NOT why I got rid of the RDX.....

When I got the car it has only one key since the dealer had lost the other key (I suspect that's one of the reason it had very low miles). Yesterday they programmed a new key for me. Now do I need to worry about someone getting hold of that original key or can the dealer disable the original "lost" key?

I wouldn't worry about it...at all.
